My April Journal
This month’s journal is all about looking forward, of good things to come. Tomorrow marks another
milestone as a few more restrictions are eased and with it comes a palpable sense of relief. We can
spend more time with our loved ones in person, our high streets are opening up again, we can sit in
a hairdresser’s chair. All our stores will be back open and we can’t wait to welcome you back in-store
for personal styling appointments and style advice.
In that spirit, I’m excited to be able to reveal an exclusive first look at our summer arrivals and the
key trends for the season. Bright colours, which always come into play at this time, have an added
potency this year, as do hopeful florals and the symbolism they offer of growth and renewal.
I’m also particularly excited about our film and book edits this month, with so many inspiring
recommendations of things to read and watch.

CampaignThis is the very first reveal of our SS21 campaign, a preview of what’s to come for the season ahead. It’s always a risk to shoot outdoors in the English countryside with weather like ours, but our model Lucan (who you may recognise from her role in The Serpent earlier this year) and the rest of the team did a wonderful job pulling it together.

Culture editIt’s the Baftas this weekend but, as with most things, Covid has meant that with all cinemas closed, actually finding where we can watch them is an added hurdle. That inspired us to gather up some of the key films that have been nominated and, most helpfully, where you can watch them from home.
